As most of you know, Bob our “Iron Framer” has volunteered many hours for many years designing and mounting all of the framing needed for the West Island Citizen Advocacy (WICA) group's, Rendez-Vous Arts program. Le Frame Shoppe has had the proud fortune of being involved in this amazing exhibition for three years as their official framer.
The Rendez-Vous Arts program was established in 2003 by the WICA with the intent of improving the quality of life for those in the West Island who have health, physical or mental challenges through creativity and community. The Rendez-Vous Arts exhibition and sale is the highlight of the program, showcasing all of the artists’ hard work and our team has the privilege of framing these beautiful pieces up!
This year’s exhibition on October 8th had an enthusiastic turn out. Mayors of Dorval and Pierrefonds were in attendance as well as Quebec's minister of finance. With so many different walks of life coming together to support such an amazing cause the air was filled with a well-deserved sense of pride and accomplishment.
The power of art has always been incredible with benefits extending far beyond the canvas. The Rendez-Vous Arts program has capture this essence and we are thrilled to be a part of it. Thank you West Island Citizen Advocacy. Until next year!
