It’s funny how impulsive I know I am (or at least I was) to fill my walls up with ‘things’. I shopped. I saw. I bought. But I’ve learned that it’s ok to leave a wall empty until I find that perfect something.
It’s funny, once you take a step back like this; you begin to see how easy it is to find special pieces. Really ANYTHING and EVERYTHING can be framed up to create a unique vignette or nod to your past.
I would encourage everyone to pause and go through a similar journey with their items. Re-evaluate what you choose to surround yourself and family with. What I’ve learned through this whole process is that it’s ok to let a wall remain empty until you figure out what has meaning to you. You often don’t have to look very far to find these pieces, just look at your items with a new perspective and let them turn your walls into a meaningful gallery that you call home.
