There’s so much hustle and bustle around this time of year. Feelings of being overwhelmed sometimes creep in and overshadow holiday joy. We’re often trying to snap that perfect shot and capture a blog-worthy memory. But this year I challenge everyone to live in the moment. To breathe in the present and to be connected to what is unfolding right in front of them.
Children’s rooms should encompass everything that is fun and whimsical while being sophisticated enough to grow alongside them. We have gathered a few tips to help get your little one’s room picture perfect!
Happy Monday morning and first days of summer! In honour of the kids being home here are our favourite ways to showcase children’s art.
As you know, all month long we’re talking about something that is near and dear to my heart - organization! Next up on our “think outside the frame” discussions are trinkets or tiny collectibles.
When things are organized it seems easier to tackle whatever the days throw at us just knowing that everything has a rightful spot. There is no better time than spring to go through and organize our belongings to hopefully achieve a sense of calm when the chaos has been controlled!
It's Spring break and at some point you'll likely hear an "I'm bored". When you do, this easy DIY is the perfect go-to to keep the kiddos engaged. It's quick, you likely have what you need already kicking around the house and the kids love playing with it long after it's built. Can I get a yes please?! :)
Now that school is out for most, kids from all over are going to run around and grow their collections! It’s great to watch their intent and appreciation, as they gather their cherished items, absolutely needing that one last rock! I never want to stifle their sense of curiosity and passion but it is nice to at least help them organize. Here are four great ways to display your child’s favorite collection.
When it's this cold outside I like to curl up with the kids and get crafty and with the start of the new year why not have them create their very own calendar.
Summer is almost here and though our fingers are crossed for days filled with sun, I have a feeling that a few showers may rain on our plans from time to time. My youngest and I recently had fun creating an aquarium craft that would be perfect for those days spent inside!
If you’re still searching for those perfect last minute decorations to make your house extra spooky this year, we have our top picks that can be made in less than 5 minutes!
Did you get masterpieces on Mother’s day? I did and like any mom those crayon-drawn flowers are like Monets in my mind! My collection of kiddie originals grows exponentially so I’m constantly looking at ways to organize and display their art. We’ve all seen versions of the display frame in stores and on pinterest so I wanted to show you how easy it can be to make one on your own in a matter of minutes.
Spending time with my kids is all I ever want on Mother’s Day but the little ones take pride in making something special that’s from them to give to me or grannie. So with two weeks to go until Mother’s Day we thought that it would be fun to give you a simple, inexpensive craft idea that allows you to spend time with the kiddos and them to create something amazing!
Some of the best relationships that I’ve formed over the years have been through the mommy connection and each play date that we have brings us closer together. So for this blog post I wanted to honor the mommy group and help foster it by showing you an easy DIY activity to bring mommies and kiddies together. Kids have fun. Mommies can talk. And life is good. I say let’s play!
