CHRISTMAS NOTE | THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF CUSTOM FRAMING

It’s Christmas! We’ve always loved this time of year. The streets are filled with hustle and bustle, twinkling lights and a sense of community.  The people-side of our business is what we love most. All of you! So we wanted to take today to consider the personal part of custom framing.

​There’s an obvious impact that custom framing adds to your room. Visually whether you incorporate a framed mirror, reframe your art with a fresh new look or frame up an inherited item, your space will feel elevated. But what about the emotional impact that custom framing has?
 
We’ve been fortunate enough to be invited into your homes, listen to your stories and feel what you feel when you look at certain pieces.
 
The pride that a parent emits when she looks at her child’s artwork is contagious. 

​As a grandchild holds a precious piece belonging to their grandparent, life seems to come full circle.

​Strength is pulled from a crumpled piece of paper signed with words of encouragement.

​A married woman can feel like a bride again as she’s brought back to her special day through wedding memorabilia.

​And we could go on and on…
 
With each of these cases the piece’s importance is tied to the emotional trigger that they feel when they look at their item. Their memories, stories or loved one behind the piece has been honored and that’s what’s important. That’s what we get to do. That’s why custom framing is so special. The emotional impact; the people side of custom framing, is like Christmas every time we reveal a piece to a client, framed in all of its glory, highlighting the magic our client feels.
