Preserving love with custom framing

Some gifts do more than mark an occasion; they capture a memory. For this first anniversary gift, a pair of pressed flowers did exactly that.

We love a good love story, and these flowers symbolize a couple's first date and the love that blossomed from it. (Pun completely intended!)

The design

Because of the flowers' delicate nature, the petals and centers were reinforced with Mod Podge to help strengthen and preserve them for long-term display. 

The two blooms were then mounted on an ivory linen matboard, creating a soft, elegant backdrop that highlights their natural beauty.

To complement the flowers' organic tones, a wheat-coloured wood moulding was selected for the frame. Floating glass was used to enhance the presentation, adding depth while maintaining a light, airy feel.

The finished piece combines natural textures with refined design elements, resulting in a timeless and elegant display that preserves both the flowers and the memories they represent.
