Who doesn't like a good before and after?

Sometimes a little tweak, change in colour or layout can completely transform a piece!

The project

​Our client came in with a framed jersey and photos that held a great deal of meaning.

The frame was damaged and we knew that we could take this opportunity to improve on the overall design.

The design

As always with our designs we not only look at aesthetic but the practicality of a piece. Altering the layout to make the arrangement vertical would save wall space and as well make feel purposeful within the overall design.

​We decided to pull from the team colours and incorporate a yellow background for the jersey to sit on.

​A white mat encompasses the items within the piece. This white feels clean, fresh and adds the right contrast.  We then added a thin black mat to outline each opening. This subtle detail not only elevates the piece, but makes each item feel coherent within the design, and as well equally special.

The photos in the original design were not the same size, so for symmetry we reprinted and resized them to sit beneath the jersey, with the logos evenly placed on either side.

The result

The entire piece feels put together in an intentional and beautiful way. We love this before and after!
