The King Charles project

When a client comes in with a certificate and medal from King Charles the custom framing must match the honour!

We wanted to highlight the certificate and medal, paying homage to both, but as well ensuring that they work in visual unison within one frame.

​To do this, each item sits individually within an opening; the certificate on the top and the medal centered directly under.

We pulled from the green border of the certificate and created matching green mat details for both the certificate and the medal. This adds a cohesiveness to the items. We carried the same matting to make a backing where the medal floats. This slight difference in design further distinguishes the two items, but again within the same aesthetic, so they work together. A cream was used as the main mat colour for the entire frame design. 

We selected a wood moulding to build the frame with a metallic finish that adds to the overall richness of the design.
