Vintage prints add charm to any space, making your room feel curated and giving it that lived-in vibe that we all crave.
But as we know the frames that these treasures come in are often so outdated that they bring the entire piece down along with your decor.
Changing out the frame and moulding of a vintage find completely elevates the print and allows it to blend seamlessly with your current space. For this project, a collection of vintage prints were in desperate need of an update. For all four prints, we selected the same dark, rustic wood moulding that works beautifully with the nature-inspired theme. A silver lip on the inside of the moulding gives it a slightly modern look.
A large neutral mat was used as the main matting across all of the designs.
We wanted each print, though, to feel special within the collection of four. To do this, we chose an inner mat as an accent that pulls from the unique colour of each print. This detail gives each print a sense of individuality while still being cohesive within the collection.
