Can you believe that it’s already time to talk about trends for 2018? We’ve tallied up some of the top color trends that will be seen in 2018 according to housebeautiful and will show you how they can be incorporated into your next custom framing project.
We’ve seen shades of millennial pink this year and we should continue to see this shade into 2018 with more of a lavender twist. I’ve always loved this soft color and am excited that it will continue to trend in the New Year.
You can use the shade in many ways by slightly opting for a different finish. A lacquer finish versus a wood, for example, changes the design and feel of the end product. Small details in the finish can also affect the overall vibe that your custom framed piece will create in your space. More detail feels classic and ornate. Less detail feels clean and modern. 
Olive green is such a great color to add to your room’s palette and predicted to be seen in many homes come 2018. This color is reminiscent of nature so I prefer keeping with a more unaffected-looking finish with a touch of wood showing through the moulding.
Brass! I think every great design needs a brass accent and adding it to your custom framing projects couldn’t be an easier way to incorporate it into your space. There are so many wonderful moulding styles to choose from so whatever your taste, you can find a moulding that works.
Moodier palettes are said to come in 2018. Who wouldn’t want to add a little drama to their room? Sleek blacks and lacquer finishes are a sure way to achieve that mood without being overwhelming.
Tone on tone has always been something that I love to do in my design projects. This approach creates subtle interest and a real sense of calm in my opinion. To try this look, simply choose a moulding that matches the shade of your wall. Your art will become the total focus!

My mom likes taking pictures of our family and wants to frame them for display. It was explained here that brass is a great custom design that can be easily incorporated into space. Furthermore, it's recommended to go to trusted professionals when considering custom frames.

Decorating with family photos is ajways a great idea! If it’s a project the your mom will be always adding to, I would suggest taking some pictures of the area they will hang in and sharing them with a custom framing design professional. I was surprised to read that a lacquer finish changes the design and end feel of the project. This is great to know because my husband and I just took our wedding pictures and I want to frame all of them! Finding a place that can help assemble a custom picture frame would be excellent for me.
