BEHIND THE SCENES | ARTISANAL WORK

One of my favourite things about what we do is the artisanal skill that goes into the projects we work on. Every design is different. Every item presents new challenges and triumphs and it’s an absolute rush of adrenaline! Let’s take a peak behind the scenes…

​Each person on our team brings new artisanal techniques to our Le Frame Shoppe family. It’s amazing to watch as team members analyze the design at hand and then start building it out in our workshop.
 
People don’t get a chance to see what goes into their pieces. So much talent and precision is poured into every work ensuring the right materials are used to protect the item; the item is secure while decoratively appearing to float with just the right tilt; backings are crafted, pedestals are built and the list goes on and on! It’s a perfect balance between aesthetic and construction. Truly incredible!
 
Below a ‘belt’ was created to thread through the boxing glove lapses. This cunning idea gave us a safe and sturdy material to mount through into the backing. 

​Here a shirt that was weighted down with various pins was sewn into the mat. The stitching was hidden behind the pins and buttons were used in behind the mat to secure the stitching in place for a safe and solid display.
