Creating the perfect gift

Step 1

Naturally, a gift has to be something that the recipient will love. To figure this out, consider the person you are giving a gift to. What do they like? What are their hobbies? What have they accomplished? Have they travelled somewhere recently? 

Step 2

Now that you have a list, focus on one specific line item. If the person you're gifting to went to Scotland recently, as an example, zero in on that. ​

Step 3

Now the fun part! Become a detective and start gathering tangible elements to highlight your line item. Print photos, print menus, find momentos like tickets, maps etc. ​

Step 4

Turn these elements into a sentimental collage. A shadowbox is a great option for bulkier items. It's also a good idea to consider preservation materials so that your gift can hold up over the years. ​

Step 5

Wrap it up! The first impression of a gift is so important. Add bows, ribbons and of course a personal tag to top it off!
