I’m what some might call a super fan of organization. I like things to have a special space and look pretty! Today I thought I’d share my obsession with you and offer some great suggestions for keeping organized with frames.
There are definitely some areas, of our home at least, that constantly look messy. They’re the things that tend to not go to their set place and end up on the entrance table, whether it be keys or mail, sunglasses or gloves for the morning – they just seem to never make their way into their beautifully prepared baskets. As a quick solution I decided to redirect my focus. Sure I may not be able to always ensure that they get put away but I can ensure that they are contained and look pretty as they sit out with a simple frame. Lay a beautiful frame flat and that becomes the borders to our stuff. Trust me it looks so much nicer than an undefined pile.
Adding a painting or photo as the base makes for a fun surprise! hometalk
Another huge area of mess is the hair elastic and clip zone. Try as I might, hair accessories never seem to get contained. A while back our team took a stab at making a version of an organizer from pinterest inspirations. Everything now has a spot and the colorful array of accessories adds a touch of whimsy to the room.
For our family, birthday season happens now and lasts a few months into summer. The kids have special friend birthdays that they like to track too so a birthday station of sorts seemed like a good idea to better plan my months and budget for all of those gifts! Frame up a cute background and attached a hook of choice. Cut out sheets of paper, one for each month, and jot down whose birthday is coming up that month. The kids love this idea!
With a busy family I can go on forever about the benefits of pegboards. They can look a little unfinished and cheap if just mounted on the wall but add a frame and you’ve created a working piece of art. Whether for the craft corner, kitchen utensils, office for receipts or playroom for those tiny toys that seem to multiply, pegboards can help things stay organized, functional and looking good!
