This is Lego art.
A thousand tiny Lego pieces put together like pixels to form an image taken from an actual photo of a grandson and his grandfather hailing a cab together in New York City. The grandson, being a Lego master, created this stunning replication of the photograph in...Lego!

We chose a navy blue background on which to float the Lego work. This colour helps define the edges and facilitate the viewer’s ability to form the image.
For the frame, we selected a natural, flat, 1" grey wood moulding that is clean-lined so as to not compete with the art. The grain from the wood provides a layer of warmth.
The different shades of grey from the frame along with the navy blue background pick up the predominant colors and hues throughout the Lego mosaic.
