HEATHER, THE FRAMIN' MAVEN

​A few years ago, when my wife and I were putting together the elements that would eventually become Le Frame Shoppe and Framepro Services, we came to a very important decision. If we wanted to be the best then we had to have the best team members. Bob, ‘The Iron Framer’ is a legend and was already part of the staff of Framemarket, but we were going to need to hire someone else with exceptional skills to join us in this adventure.

We started to put our ‘feelers’ out for our dream candidate. We were hoping to find an amazing ‘people’ person with an Arts background, someone wildly creative with professional custom framing experience, a gifted artisan, bilingual, a hard worker and able to share our vision of a modern framing company. Pretty simple, right? Well, lucky for us, one name and one name only kept coming back…Heather.
 
After meeting with Heather and outlaying our vision, we knew we had the right person. She was up to the challenge and excited about remaking two tired businesses into a dynamic new company that would redefine and modernize the custom framing experience.
 
Heather is one of the best custom frame designers in the business, her customer service is beloved by our clients and she is also responsible for all of our artisanal framing. Intricate mating designs, complicated montages and more are executed with meticulous precision by our very own ‘Framin’ Maven’.  Over the last few years, she has become the face of our Dorval store and is the heart of our artisanal framing.

​To give you an idea of the kind of amazing work she does, these photos are from a project she recently worked on. Before it gets fit in the frame, this leather satchel needed to be stuffed, sewed on to a beautiful fabric mat, then supported from behind so that it can ‘float’ in front of the background. The glass was floated in the frame and Heather recessed the work creating a beautiful shadowbox effect.
