OUR MOST REQUESTED FRAME DESIGN

We serve all sorts of clients and work on many different projects for all kinds of needs, but there is one design request that keeps coming up…

​Our most requested frame design is: economic, simple, clean lined. In our world, that usually means moulding that is ¾” wide and 1 ¼” deep. Generally our clients ask for this design for art prints. The reason? Never has it been easier for artists to create and sell their art prints online. From big-time vendors such as Etsy to smaller, boutique-style art print houses, there is a ton of choice for the modern art enthusiast to find cool, decorative art at an affordable price.

​Typically these pieces are made in non-traditional sizes and so custom framing is required. The framing budgets for these pieces are often quite tight and the design aesthetics lean to the simple and modern looks usually associated with first apartments, new homes or office spaces. This growing demand is one of the main reasons we created our Basix line.
 
Because our pricing on the Basix line is very budget friendly and made to measure, the client will often frame a few art prints at the same time. We end up designing frames that work together for the multiple pieces and help finish off the space they’re going into. 

The Basix line also allows room in the budget to add a few extra design options like floating mats or recessed artwork as well as glass upgrades that might not otherwise be considered because of the overall cost of regular custom framing.
 
In the end, this new generation of art enthusiasts is able to decorate with trendy artwork, while keeping on budget and on point.
