If you’re still searching for those perfect last minute decorations to make your house extra spooky this year, we have our top picks that can be made in less than 5 minutes!
There is nothing better than peal and stick decals or stickers to speed up your decorating. Go to your local frame store and ask for frames with glass. Have them place solid colored mats inside your frames. In these examples I had white mats inserted into the frames so that my Halloween images pop! The dollar store has a ton of great peal and stick options that you simply stick to the glass of your frames. These took me all of 1 minute to make and they add a ton of Halloween appeal!
If you have a bit more time, grab your scissors and glue and cut a scary silhouette or create a pumpkin face over an orange mat as shown below. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with a craft like this!
The glue gun is my best friend around the holidays and made this Halloween project very easy. I purchased inexpensive Styrofoam skulls that were colored with glitter. After all Halloween doesn’t have to be just orange and black! I wanted this option to add a little sparkle and pizazz to my spooky décor so this black frame with a slight silver edge was the perfect choice. I added a black mat to the inside of my frame, then I simply glued my skull and a silver ribbon to add a little bling and pull from the frame design, stretched spider webs over everything and…done.
The fun thing about frames is that they take on whatever personality you give them. With the right objects an empty frame can suddenly look quite scary! Lean a few empty frames on your mantel or a side table. Drape a few cobwebs; place eerie objects in front of your frames and you’ve quickly achieved a haunted display!
