The end of January in Montreal is experiencing the 'mid-season blues'. It's been a different kind of year...again...but it still offers the possibility of so many wonderful things.
When we were deciding on how to tackle our window displays this month, we wanted to embrace the idea of possibility. We wanted to ignite inspiration and encourage beauty amidst the rough and unfinished. So we decided to create an entire display using sticks of moulding. These long pieces are what our team works with every day. And every day the raw pieces are cut and joined into gems.
Sometimes it's easy to forget how things come to be. To appreciate the journey that brought us to our ends. To honour every twist and turn that is our story.
In our profession, those sticks represent possibility. When we look at the unfinished moulding we see the potential of what those long strips can be turned into and what cherished memories they can help protect. Cuts, drills, joins and hard work turn these unfinished pieces into endless sizes, shapes, forms of preservation and ultimately happiness.
It's our hope that when you look at our windows and see those long, unfinished pieces that you too see possibility and are inspired. Our journeys are not always easy but with every path the promise is there to create something magnificent.
