THE BEN FRANKLIN PROJECT

​Our team always impresses. This project had very specific requirements that allowed our incredible work family to do what they do best - creatively exceed expectations and crush the challenge! Here’s what we call The Ben Franklin Project.
 
Our client came in with a unique art piece that presented several challenges in order to really showcase the item and tell its story.
 
The piece itself is a commentary on the American money system and is represented by an interpreted stack of 'Benjamin's' (100$ US bills) in a bread bag with all the usual nutrition and ingredient information substituted for facts related to the money itself as well as historical content.

The bag is an important piece of the artwork and is signed and numbered by the artist. So as not to spoil the integrity of the piece, our team of design specialists used powerful rare earth magnets cleverly hidden within the sac and within the backing to get the item to float safely and securely without using any adhesives!

​To complete the presentation, we mounted the cover of the artwork's gift box, which is a stylized graphic of Benjamin Franklin, and created a double opening mat in matching colours.
 
We finished off the design with a deep white moulding by Roma and Museum Glass.

​This custom frame job really elevated the art piece (literally - thanks to the rare earth magnets!).
