​This piece; our client's story is very special and embodies a captivating young lady. Let's take a look at The Billboard Magazine Project.

Our client's sister recently lost her battle with cancer. In cleaning out her sister's drawers, she came across an ad that her sister helped organize. It was dedicated to New Kids On the Block by their fans and placed in Billboard Magazine. This copy was signed by all members of the band. 

Our client's sister became close friends with the New Kids On The Block. Yes, the very band that we grew up listening to! They would talk to Donnie Wahlberg on the phone, text, go out to lunch and meet one another's families. When she fell ill, the 'boys' would reach out and visit her while she was in the hospital. They sent her family food and support. After her sister's passing the band even reached out to our client, making sure that she was okay.

​This ad represents so much for our client, so we had to preserve this magazine and pay tribute to all that it signifies.

The goal of our design is elegant simplicity, with just a little touch of something more. We used a thin, matte black-stained moulding by Roma Moulding to build our frame. To give the piece that  something special, we floated the magazine page above a lightly textured black linen mat. The linen subtly elevates the work and visually creates a softness despite the dark tone. Art Glass for clarity finishes the work off.
