Art comes in all shapes and colours and is created using multiple methods. Adding a custom frame can unify different artworks while speaking to their unique representations. Here is The Mixed Art Project
Colourful collages These pieces are truly spectacular! They are made with Japanese paper, hand torn and arranged. We decided to float the artwork on a solid core black, cotton rag mat, leaving a small space between the frame and the artwork. We floated the glass to match. A clean, matte black frame by Roma Moulding was added to the design.
Ink drawings
These drawings are done with Indian ink. We tipped the pieces on a wheat-coloured, cotton rag mat, leaving a small bit of space around the edges, with floated glass to match. The Japanese rice paper used for these pieces is very thin making them fragile to work with and as well influenced our design. The translucent paper allowed the under mat to show through. So instead of selecting the black used in the other works, we decided on a wheat colour version that still feels clean and simple.
Pastel series
Using a petite black frame by Roma Moulding, these pastel drawings were trimmed and tipped onto 100% black, cotton rag mat. We floated the glass for these pieces as well using spacers.
All of the artworks look amazing together and individually giving our client lots of versatility.
