We picked up these precious little porcelain teapots at an antique market in Maine one summer. They were so cute we just couldn’t resist! Here’s how we turned them into a stunning, one of a kind display.
We thought giving these Victorian teapots a modern twist would make them pop, so we started by designing with vibrant tones and lacquered frames.
To create the depth we needed we used a Robert’s cut on the base frame and then stacked the second frame on top.
Inspired by the teapots beautiful pattern we chose a rich velvet mat with a black inlay to create the perfect surround.
To create interest and drama we built our pedestals so that they ascend to the center of the frame and added a decorative flourish in the corners of the mat opening.
We wouldn’t want any of the details of our exquisite little teapots or it’s tailored frame design to be lost and so we finished it off with Art Glass for maximum clarity.
With a little creativity, anything can be turned into your very own masterpiece!
