No. 3 - TIP Add a floater to your frame design this season

​The floater is such a great design element to inspire your framing this Spring. The floater does 3 fantastic things for your work: 

1) It adds grandeur to the overall design. We all love a designed and impressive look and the floater frame does just that. It adds an extra textural element as well as increases the overall width of the frame, when added as a secondary moulding. Your final piece will feel more elaborate.

​2) Sometimes our art is slightly smaller than the wall it will hang. To achieve an ideal fit, adding a floater can give you those extra inches.

3) In design we often hear that furniture needs breathing room in a space. Similarly, by adding a simple floater between your art and another moulding, your work has a chance to breathe which can help achieve a better aesthetic.
