It's the perfect time to start thinking about the Christmas countdown! We love the fun and tradition of advent calendars in our house. Every morning it’s a mad race to officially mark it one day closer to Christmas. Bring the family together with these simple DIY ideas!

Christmas is magical and we try to capture that magic in our decor. I grab the kids and together we make a lot of the decorations and memories. We actually have four advent calendars in our house! They’re so easy to make!

With a frame and cheap muslin bags you can whip up this surprised-filled calendar in no time. The square wire pattern adds so much interest!

Following a similar principal using a large frame, twine and little envelopes, this advent calendar gets the whole family involved. Have everyone add their own style and decorate the envelopes. Fill the envelopes with activities for the season.
