The word ‘montage’ comes up in custom framing quite a bit. This simply describes piecing together different items to make one beautiful end result – something that I think we do very well! :) We’ve rounded up some beautiful montages to inspire your next project.
Montages are great for capturing memories and telling stories. It’s like scrapbooking only for your walls! Your experience can be brought to life and preserved under glass forever. As the sentimental fool that I am, this is amazing!
Really no memory is too big or too small for a montage. Nothing must be added or shouldn’t be added. It’s yours to incorporate whatever you want to get the final masterpiece just right!
One of the easiest ways to bring you back to the moment you’re trying to capture is with a photo. With cameras at the tip of our fingers nowadays I’m sure you have lots to choose from! If you’re capturing an older memory then dig through those vintage photos for the perfect one!
Next grab a piece (or a few) of memorabilia from that time; tickets, scorecards, jerseys, pucks, balls, medals…the ideas are endless! And we’ll put it all together to create something unique, brimming with sentiment and absolutely stunning. Whether you’re a sports fan or just had a fabulous time as a spectator at an event or playing a round, keep the adrenaline front and center with these ideas.
Maybe you’ve recently scratched something off of your bucket list. Maybe someone you care for has achieved something that they’re proud of? A retirement; or has gone on a vacation of a lifetime!
Montages are also the ideal way to pay tribute to someone special. It might not be an exact moment that you’re trying to remember but rather honoring the spirit of a person. Handkerchiefs, recipes, cufflings, pipe can be brought together for a constant reminder of and smile for the one you love.
They’re also great for showing off collections.
And as a way for businesses to highlight an accomplishment and visually let clients know why they should use their service.
Sometimes people want to remember an entire year or a series of events using only pictures. This is a great way for Instagram users to showcase their pics.
Some clients have even turned a grouping of pictures into a larger image. This is made up of a serveral grad photos. I’m not sure if this can be considered a true montage (it’s more of a mosaic), but WOW!
Other clients have wanted to showcase their children’s art or schoolwork from a particular time or even a team sport.
Because they’re so personal and special, montages make excellent gifts. With the holidays fast approaching now’s the time to start planning your project and make someone feel appreciated and very happy.
