POWDER ROOM DILEMMA

​The powder room is that one room that often gets overlooked or perhaps never quite feels complete when it comes to design. We want to show you how easy it is to turn an average powder room into a high-end space that you’re happy to have guests use.

Standard, builder’s grade, mirrors above the sink can make a powder room seem less than impressive. The impact that the mirror choice has on the overall feel of the room is at times not considered, but a simple switch to a custom-built mirror can completely and easily transform the space.
 
When visiting your custom framer, as a rule of thumb, try to always bring in reference or sample shots of your powder room. The custom framer can then put together some sample mouldings for you to take home to try out in the room and see how the design actually looks in the respective space. After all the custom framer, in this case, is not designing for an object or photograph, but instead for a room that can’t be brought to them. So bring the design to it!

​Now take your time and consider the moulding choices in different lighting, against your wallpaper or paint colour. Do you have tiles in your powder room? How does the moulding compliment them?
 
When you’re confident that the design looks amazing in your space, the custom framer will work with you to determine the size requirements of your new mirror by discussing how you’d like your custom creation to fit in the space, what room is there behind the faucet, should it hang above tiles or over tiles, and so forth. 

​Ask for delivery and installation and then in about two weeks you’ll have a unique, handcrafted gem that will make your powder room feel luxurious!
