How do we understand that something is a high achievement, of high importance or is the height of excellence? The clue is in the altitude!

At Le Frame Shoppe we are often asked to make something look important or give significance to items and one of the ways we can show this is by using something we call pedestal framing. 

With pedestal framing, the idea is to raise the photo, print or item up within the frame by designing the mat to have a larger bottom depth then the top and sides. This simple technique instantly tells the viewer that what they are looking at has importance; the same way we understand why the 1st place podium is higher than 2nd and 3rd.

It's also a great way to add more information into the presentation, like dedications, logos and titles.
