Clothing has memories intertwined in the thread that holds them together. We can easily look back on a dress, scarf, apron and think about the moment associated with when the piece was last worn. It's no wonder then that many beautiful garments come across our desk with clients eager to preserve their special pieces and the memories that come with them. Here is The Baptismal Gown Project.

These incredible items are from the 1930s and were passed along through generations for the many baptisms celebrated in our client's family. More than just clothing, these memories needed to be honored and the items protected.

This montage includes a family photo and plaque in addition to the clothing. These help pay tribute to the people and memories linked to the pieces. We wanted the baptismal gown and accessories to take centre stage so we selected a simple and clean-lined frame. Still wanting to elevate the piece, we chose an elegant material backdrop for the display in a neutral tone.

After playing with the placement of the items within the montage, we agreed on what we think is the perfect balance.
