THE CAPPING PROJECT

As a custom frame shoppe we have the opportunity to turn everyday items into masterpieces, memories into lasting treasures and achievements into honourable stock on your wall, but we can also make wear and tear disappear!
 
When we have a client that loves their frame but it’s damaged, we’re faced with a challenge; how can we transform the damage and make it feel new again while keeping the integrity of the piece?  Sometimes the answer is more obvious and other times we have to get creative. 

​For this stunning piece, the edges of the client’s frame were worn. We decided to build a new frame around the old one to hide the outer rim and refresh the overall feel while keeping true to its classic vibe.
 
We are fortunate to have thousands of mouldings to choose from so were able to select a black and gold moulding by Fotiou that blended beautifully with the existing frame.

​The finished result was a piece that had added grandeur, polish and…. no more damaged edges! This new outer frame looks like it was part of the design from the start!
