The firemen project

​Placing achievements and memories within a frame is one of the best ways to show appreciation and honour for someone.

Whether it be for a special event or just because, turning someone's work and experiences into a piece shows how amazing they are.

The West Island Fire Department recently celebrated two of their firemen. They were each presented with a retirement gift to commemorate their accomplishments, bravery and service over the years.

The design

Our task was to create a spectacular multi-opening framed presentation of these men's accomplishments, Station Teams, badges, arm bands, crests and plates honouring their name, service and devotion to firefighting and to the people they have risked their lives to save.

Each piece has 14 openings cut within the mats to showcase the various items. We chose a black double V-groove mat allowing white to highlight the items and create a nice contrasting detail to the design. We had 9 silver plates made with different coloured graphics applied accordingly to elevate the pieces. 

A black 1" wood moulding was used to build the frames for an absolutely stunning result!
