It’s that time of month again! I’m not sure where June has gone but it did bring us our top pins, which we are always excited to share! Plus I’ve included a fun download that both you and the kids will love!
School is out for summer! That means lounging by the pool, lemonade and BBQs! But in addition to these carefree days, I know a lot of parents who want to keep schoolwork fresh in their kids’ minds by incorporating reading goals and other forms of structured learning into their summer schedules.
Our top pin this month is such a great way to motivate your little ones to delve into books this summer. Frame, with glass, a fun background image of choice with a section designated to where your child will record the number of books he or she reads. Using a dry erase marker over the glass ask your child to add to the total as a book is completed over the summer. The kids (and you) will love watching the number go up! I created this version for my kids. Feel free to download it for your personal use! teachinginroom6
This cute little work nook came in second place. I’m big on organizing a set section for the kids. No matter how big or small a space you have to work with, a framed pegboard keeps all of their goodies organized and easy for them to access on their own.

This lovely image pops up in the top pins all summer long! This is such a great way to create a bit of patio privacy and shade while adding color to your space. We love framing up moss of even succulents to add to your summer hang out spot.
