Can someone please tell me how it will be July in a few days? It’s been hard to hold onto time these days but it has been a great period to re-evaluate ourselves and environment. Today on the blog we’re looking back on our top pins from the month.

​I always find it interesting to go back on what has left the most impressions on all of you over a month. More often than not there’s a pattern to what has universally inspired.  This past month our discussions and tips on matting have been popular!
 
Matting is such a key element when it comes to frame designs, not only for their functional aspects but because mats can transform your wall décor into something that reflects your décor, style and personality. All with a few keen mat cuts or additions of matboard colour!
 
We’re Talking Mats was a recent blog that touches on all sorts of ways that a mat can add an element of fun into your art. We always love adding cut outs to mats especially for a child’s room, but you’ll have to read the blog to see what your favourite option is!

​As you know, every Tuesday we post a tip about custom framing. It can be on design ideas or tips for hanging art or even cleaning your art! This tip called double white is a classic!

​Finally the last pin as part of our top 3 for the month was TIP | inside mat. Using the often forgotten real state of the inner lip of your frame to add a pop of colour with a mat is a way to really make your piece feel custom and give you that hint of colour.
