Artisanal work is something that we love to do...
and when we get to do it for a baby's room, all the better! Here are our 3 top tips for children's wall decor.
Don't overlook a child's room decor
When it comes to kids, they deserve a space that is just as special as the rest of your home. It's their little slice for homework, playing or chilling out. So take the time to consider colour, finishings and details that make their room pop!
Invest in the right areas
We all know that children change their likes and dislikes quite regularly so when it comes to designing a space for them keep this in mind. There are certain aspects of a child's room where investing upfront means saving over time. Beautiful wall decor, for example, can mature with your child. We suggest classic designs. Think metallics or clean lines and neutral backings when it comes to framing. In this way, as wall colours change your art will still look fantastic!
Timeless art
When it comes to content, we suggest considering items or images that are timeless. In this way, their wall decor can stay put even as the little ones grow to big kids.
A closer look
Our client wanted to create an artisanal piece with feather butterflies flying across a diptych to hang over her daughter’s crib. Though this project is for a baby's room, the butterflies have a certain vintage quality that is ideal for any age.
We selected a gold frame that will look amazing in the space now and even as certain design elements may change over time. A cream mat behind the butterflies keeps the pieces neutral but as well adds an element of warmth. << NEXT | PREVIOUS >>
