THE DALI PROJECT

When this came across our design table we were over the moon with excitement! Here is The Dali Project.

Yup, we said Dali... as in Salvador Dali - an original print complete with an embossed watermark of authenticity needed an impressive frame design. Luckily our client came to the right place!

The watermark at the bottom corner of the print naturally needed to be part of the display. This dictated the space around the piece and set the stage for our design. 

​We wanted to elevate the frame design without taking from the work of art. To do this we included a filet, cut in a reverse bevel, in a complimentary gold that sits beyond the 1 inch border of the actual art (where the watermark lives). We chose a soft, neutral outside mat cut to an inch and 1/4 and then selected a similarly toned moulding to the filet, with just the right amount of embossing, for our frame.

Art glass was used to help preserve the work by preventing UV rays from hitting the piece. It also achieves a beautiful level of clarity to show off this amazing work!

This art came with a letter of authenticity that we attached to the back of the piece to keep everything safely together.
