We get a lot of questions about how we design the best looks for our clients’ artwork. For us it’s all about function and aesthetic. We want to make something look great while making the nuts and bolts of it work!
If our client wants to light their piece up – we light it up! But it’s often not as simple as installing a few lights into the design. It’s the “how to's” based on the material of the artwork, the shape of the artwork and of course getting the lighting just right while making the final piece look outstanding! For The Light Up Project, our goal was to have the cut outs in the artwork illuminated only and our design had to work within the parameters of the artwork’s delicate, round shape.
We created a masking that was layered behind the art and in front of LED lights that we were using to light the cut outs up. We then built a circular structure so that the center of the piece was the only thing that lit up.
There isn’t a guidebook about how to make the design goal of a piece work. But our team never fails at brainstorming to achieve a solution that looks and works beautifully. << NEXT | PREVIOUS >>
