May is almost over and only now is it starting to feel like spring. The turn in weather might be slow but nothing has slowed down over here! One exciting piece of news is that we’re hiring in almost every section of our business; from positions for our design & sales team, artisanal work for our mat & mounting department, cut & joiners and as well as for our fit & finishing department! We also have a manager’s position available for someone who will help continue to grow our business and be our “right-hand man”. If you think any of these positions would be a perfect fit, we hope to hear from you soon! But right now let’s talk about the triple mat, coloured mat and velvet mat on the blog!
With school slowly coming to end for most, we find ourselves clinging to memories of hard work, dedication and many firsts along the way. The Tie Project captured our client’s school years and our hearts.
There are so many fun ways to add custom details to a framed piece and The Classic Truck Project showcases so many of them!
The weather has turned and it finally feels like spring! When I think of spring I think of bright whites and crisp finishes and that’s what our top pins are all about today. Let’s see how a white frame can be showcased in three ways.
Tech organization is so important because… well… we always seem to have a device around! Next on our “think outside the frame” series are these beautiful tablet cases.
As you know, all month long we’re talking about something that is near and dear to my heart - organization! Next up on our “think outside the frame” discussions are trinkets or tiny collectibles.
All month long we’re talking about ways to “think outside the frame” and use custom framing to get you organized. This next example is perfect for the collector and just happens to be one of my favourites!
When things are organized it seems easier to tackle whatever the days throw at us just knowing that everything has a rightful spot. There is no better time than spring to go through and organize our belongings to hopefully achieve a sense of calm when the chaos has been controlled!
It’s the end of the month and what a wonderful month it was! Spring arrived, the snow is melting and we have been busy thinking up ways to help you de-clutter for the season! We featured some of these unexpected ideas this past week on Breakfast Television. We had so much fun doing this segment that we had to write about our experience here. We weren’t able to get to all of the pieces that we brought to the show, but don’t worry we’ll blog about them soon. So be on the look out! Now let’s delve into this month’s most popular pins!
As the capabilities of technology have grown so have our abilities as custom framers and we’re loving it! We’ll tell you what we mean on today’s blog as we discuss The Group of 3 Project.
It's Spring break and at some point you'll likely hear an "I'm bored". When you do, this easy DIY is the perfect go-to to keep the kiddos engaged. It's quick, you likely have what you need already kicking around the house and the kids love playing with it long after it's built. Can I get a yes please?! :)
We’ve given you a little preview of The Mad Magazine Project and today we’re going over all the details on the blog for this collectible magazine turned art!
February is coming to end, which means that there are only a few days left of our annual Frameuary event! This year we felt generous and decided to offer all of our wonderful clients a chance to win 1000$ in custom framing! We’ve had so much fun with this so far – don’t miss out and hurry in if you haven’t already so that you too can be a part of this event! Our new radio ad was also released this month. We had a blast putting it together with the kids and everyone involved. Hope you like it! We have some more exciting things planned for next month that we can’t wait to share, but until then let’s see what our top pins are for February.
Ever wonder how high to hang your art? Trust me, you’re not alone! Today’s post will hopefully make this task a little less daunting by going over the simple rule on how to ensure your wall décor hangs just right!
There is never a dull moment in the world of custom design. The Awards Project forced us to push our imaginations to get just the right fit for our client satisfying need, want and of course…delivering a final product that was completely ‘wow’!
Over the last few years to an all-time peak in 2019 we’ve seen more awareness on environmentally savvy choices as well as lifestyle changes that focus on plant-based living, farm to table cuisine, sustainable materials and finding joy in the basics. Humankind seems to have revisited its relationship with nature and in turn people are taking an internal gage. So what does this mean for custom framing?
This cold January is coming to an end and we will be moving into February. This coming month is a good one because it means that Spring is making its way in and our frame-amazing Frameuary event is about to hit Le Frame Shoppe! It also means that we get to take a look back on this month’s most popular pins.
I’m such a softy and love love. For all of you hopeless romantics like myself, here are a few inspiring ideas for your Valentine that go beyond the box of chocolates.
At this time of year, most of us are in home redecorating mode, but we can’t forget about our office. We can spend 8 plus hours working away so that space should be beautiful and inspiring. Whether you work outside or inside the home here are ideas that will keep you going.
The presents have been put away and the decorations back in storage for another year. I always find the house seems a little bare at this time of year as the bountiful holiday arrangements disappear. I like this time though because it feels like a clean slate, full of new possibilities for both my lifestyle and living space. We’ve put together a few ideas to help refresh your home while invigorating you to live the best possible 2019!
With 2018 coming to an end our hearts are full of gratitude as we look back on all the projects that we were privileged enough to be a part of. We can truthfully say that we love each and every one of them! The clients and stories that came through our shoppes inspired us, and moved us, and we are forever thankful. Here’s a look back on three amazing projects from this year.
Christmas is often tied to traditions. We all want to taste the recipes we grew up with and do the activities that warm our hearts year after year, but life brings change and no matter how hard we try to hold onto to the past, time never lets things be exactly the same. Though I embrace the wonders of change and the new fun that it offers, at Christmas time especially I still crave the memories that lie in tradition. I believe in their value, of teaching the ways, and telling stories of long ago.
As the weather chills up and we spend more time inside, our eyes wonder around the house wanting to settle on something amazing. Extra large pieces hung on the wall will do nothing but delight as they make an enormous statement in your home. We’ve put together some ideas for extra big art that you probably already have lying around.
Matt and I have always seen ourselves as entrepreneurs. We are naturally driven by the challenges and excitement that everyday holds when you own your own business. Over five years ago our scribbled down dream became a reality when we opened the doors as Le Frame Shoppe.
